Today. What is today? Today is right here and right now. Sometimes, I think we get so busy, we forget to just live in the moment we are in. As most of you know I have had some pretty big medical issues, which have caused all kinds of havoc in our life. Some days are good days, some days are not the greatest, even with that being said everyday is a gift. A gift from God himself, to let his light and glory shine, even when it is tough. Giving up just isn’t an option, sometimes it has to be mind over matter. I know, it’s easy to just want to give up, obviously I haven’t, thank you Jesus!
In our fast paced society the phrase, “Stop and smell the roses” needs to be applied more often. It is okay to not have every minute of every day booked to the maximum. It is okay to just… Stop and smell the roses! Life comes and goes to fast, so enjoy it, while we have it. Although, I am looking forward to eternity most certainly. By the way, the only way to get to be with Him, is to accept Him, and live for Him. The worlds view of… Well… Good people go to heaven. Please don’t be deceived by the enemy, he is out to kill and destroy. If that means he takes your soul, he’ll take it, he just doesn’t care. Don’t let him rob you… It’s not worth it!
Life is so much more than about us. Every where I seem to look in society these days, things are about bettering our self. What about bettering others? Training them? Don’t get me wrong… I am not saying to forget about yourself! We need to take care of ourselves. If we don’t, how will we fill anyone else up? Focus on Him. He focused on you first. Romans 8:5 is brought to my mind… “Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.”
Stop and smell the roses.
