Normally, my daughter is willing to eat just about anything. Now, she seems to be protesting vegetables, unless they are pureed. She is also in a leap, you can embrace yourself in the knowledge of leaps and bounds HERE! If you have little ones under the age of 18 months, I highly recommend reading about The Wonder Weeks. There is a book as well as an app, for those of you who have smart phones.
Back to my original reason for writing this post! I started making homemade food pouches packed with good omega fatty acids (yay, brain development!), veggies, and a tad bit of fruit. It takes all of maybe 5 minutes from the time you use your blender, until the time the pouches are filled. Pouches up here are anywhere between $1.75 and $3.50, so count me out on that!
5 MINUTE POUCHES
2 cups Organic Green Veggies
2 Tablespoons Chai and Flax Seed
1/2 Of A Semi-Ripe Banana
1/2 Cup Coconut Milk
1/2 Cup Frozen Fruit
*Blend for about two minutes, and use some sort of spoon or utensil to put them into each pouch. Only fill them about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way full. Close them up.
There you have it. Simple. Easy. Pouches. THESE are the pouches I have used and am quite pleased with as we don’t have a dishwasher!
I use a variety of different items to fill the pouches with, each week tends to be different
From my family to yours,
Rebecca
